What is a friend,
If not someone
we trust?
What is a friendship,
If not a relationship
Between friends?
What binds friends
Together, if not
Caring about
the other?
Without good friends,
We are alone
Among acquaintances.
Our families are
our closest friends,
But we choose our
Good friends.
To betray or
Abandon a
Good friend,
Would be an
Indication of
Poor character.
We cherish our
Friends, deluded as
They may be,
And Hope time and
Patience may yet
Allow them to see,
Which they are.
