I do not know
Her heart,
Nor does she
Know mine.
I know her
Otherwise,
As she knows me.
We know we can
Trust each other.
I want to know
Her heart,
And I think she
Wants to know
Mine.
Time to learn and
Heal are what we
Both need.
We are equally
Patient
Polite
Persuasive
Persistent.
But we have so few
Years to be happy,
Though our heads doubt,
We must trust
Our hearts.
