Narrow Bed

I lie by your side
We breathe as one,
The nearness of you
Comforting though
We both know
This bed is too
Narrow for sleep.
When we first laid down
Tonight you rolled your
Eyes while gazing into mine,
You asked me which
Side I wanted,
We smiled and I said,
“The middle.”
And, as the cabin
Rolled from side to side,
kissed your thighs
Down to your sighs.
