Coincidence

My life is full of
Coincidence,
Too many to
Explain as
Statistical
Stochastic
Chance.
Again and
Again the
Odds fade
Away across
My path,
I used to tell
My students that
American history
Is rife with hard to
Explain coincidences.
I told them coincidences
Are God’s fingerprints.
I think this is true,
Though I do not
Know why my
Life has so
Many of
Them.
I suppose
It is just
Coincidence.
