Bad Emperors

The Roman Empire had
Bad emperors like Nero,
Commodus and others,
When this happened the
Citizens and others all
Suffered but never learned
How to solve the problem.
Poor character and bad
Manners are the marks
Of a bad emperor.
Too bad Romans never developed
The right of their House of
Representatives equivalent to
Impeach a turkey and their
Senate to try then convict the
Turkey while a free press roasts
The turkey,
Instead the Empire collapsed
In the 3rd century but recovered
Then collapsed again in the 5th
Century recovering in the East
At Constantinople but never
Recovered on the West.
Luckily for us today we
Have not lost our
Frontier humor
And know
What a
Thanksgiving
Turkey is for each
November.
Clemency should
Be reserved for the
Deserving,
Don’t give him any.
