Greeting
She is beautiful
To behold,
The morning light
Casts shadows
Of her across her,
A study of
Light and dark.
Her breathing
Changes as I
Touch her hand,
She opens her eyes
And smiles at me.
The dawn brightens
Slowly as we greet
Again each day
Happy together.
Greetings cheer
Our hearts
And salutations
Well met.
We both smile,
Recognizing
Our other
Self.
Ring bells
Sound trumpets,
But not too loud,
We may fall asleep
Just to greet
Again.
