A circus in a tent with
My parents sitting on a low
Dusty old wood bench as an
Elephant trumpets loudly while
A pretty lady in a circus outfit
Rides on top waving to us,
Clowns run around the
Circus ring but I am
Trying to get a
Bag of hot
Peanuts
Sold
By
A
Man
Hawking
Peanuts and
Popcorn and I
Think if it were not
For the honor of the thing
I would just as well have
Stayed home if I could
Have the hot peanut
Snack and watch
TV cartoons
In comfort.
I repeat
This
Experience
For the next 63
Years but too
Seldom get
The hot
Snack
Of
Peanuts
Though in
Truth I have
Seen some pretty
Ladies in circus
Outfits and am
Grateful for
My luck
So far,
But
I would
Really like
To relax in my
Comfortable home
With my dear life
Companion
At my side,
A bowl of
Peanuts
And a
Good
Movie.
