Pomposity
The vanity of young
Women is amusing but
Nothing surpasses the vain
Pomposity of verbose old men
Who are supremely unaware
Their day has passed they
Rely on affability or worse
Yet false self-importance
In a world they do not
Comprehend which
Is too busy to note
Their presence
Beyond a nod
To what was
Once useful
To society
But now
Likely
To start
Fights the
Young must
Clean up while
Old women smile
Having knowledge
And experience
Whereas old
Men lack
Ability
To
Utilize
Either as
Their ego
Trips them up.
There are some
Few exceptions but
For most old men who
Has the most toys at
Death wins the bid,
Little better than
A teenage boy
Or stubborn
Four year
Old able
Only
To
See
Their
Own view
Arms crossed
Feet apart perhaps
With a cape or their hair
In a short ponytail
Staring into the
Distance as a
Conquistador
Pompously
Preening
Petulant
Platitudes.
