I am a little kid fascinated
By the sight smell taste tactile
Feel of popcorn which I am wild
To try popping risking burning
The popcorn which would
Risk the condemnation
Of my sibs and even
My parents but I
Try it anyway
Succeeding
Beyond my
Hopes in
Popping
Corn.
At every
Opportunity
I experiment with
Popcorn flavors from
Paprika to cayenne to butter
All of which delight me but not
My sibs or parents who are more
Traditional but teach me popcorn
Can be strung at Christmas for a
Decoration that is edible though
Stale not that this stops me in
My search for popcorn lore
And a bigger bowl so as to
Increase the portions to
Which is added soft
Drinks with ice to
Add a new tingle
To the popcorn
Experience
Not rivaled
Until my
Discovery
Of chocolate
Then sex,
