Patience is a virtue
I was taught long ago,
Gratification delayed is
Gratification enhanced by
Anticipation of our desire,
And so I wait for fate and
Fortune to glacier-like
Progress knowing old
Lessons are best,
I too often take
Offense where
None is to me
Intended but
I do wish my
Intended
Would
“Put
On
Some
Speed,
Know that
I need someone
To watch over me.”
