Gray Gloom

Far southern
California has gray
May and June gloom
With early morning fogs
And cloudy skies, sweater
Weather, turning late each
Morning to warmer temps and
A blue heaven overhead, gentle
Sea breezes, a paradise where
Folks are relaxed knowing
May gray & June gloom
Fade to glorious fresh
Summer, not too hot,
Nor too sultry but
Just right to sit
In a garden
Reading
A book
Under
Palms & pines.
Jacaranda trees
Mirror the blue
Pacific Ocean
Never far
Away.
