Faith

Faith is a
Beautiful thing
Unless it is substituted
For common sense as in war
Or politics when fiascos occur
When individuals form groups who
Believe their faith can transcend
Reality resulting in the loss of
Lives and causes and even
Nations all because they
Let their faith blur their
Vision of reality and
By a process of
Group Think all
Agreed with
Themselves
Disregarding
Any naysayers
Believing if you are
Not part of our solution
Then you are part of the problem.
Beware of such Lemming like
Groups or even individuals
Whose confidence has a
Shorter hatband than
Their swollen heads.
Know them by their
Pontification see
Their chosen
Rocking
Horse,
Let
Them
Mount up
And ride furiously
Through life as long
As they do not insist that
You get up behind them.
No amount of reason
Or good judgement
Will sway such
True believers
From their
Chosen
Path,
Just do
Not let them
Blind you to what
Is real and what
Is prejudice.
Crusades
Are for
Fools
To follow,
Fiends to lead,
The dead
To grin.
Tend
Your own
Garden.
