About what happened in
The 1960s, I told them the
Sixties were like the Big Bang
Theory in astronomy because there
Was a big bang but they were not
There though I could say the
Same about the war in Viet
Nam when TV toothpaste
Commercials juxtaposed
Bucky Beaver with a
Toothbrush and
Our soldiers
Burning
Viet
Cong villages.
What were the
Sixties like, human
History made a right
Angle change after fifty
Thousand years when women
Got access to the birth control
Pill changing male control of
Society forever or at least
As long as the pill is still
Legally available after
Abortions are illegal
But the sixties did
Change us as a
Society which
Made many
Careers
Open
To
Talent
Not just
The male
Gender, not
Because a few
Bras were burned
But because the sixties
Gave women more choices
A pill men could never
Swallow under the
Old America
Where all
Men
Were
Created
Equal but
Women died
From repetitive
Childbirths
Worn out
Used up
In a
World
Where as
Women too
Much was required
Long before they
Reached their
Sixties.
