Gone

I am 71 and
My wife has died
So I am single but not
Alone as my family gives
Me loving concern and useful
Help but my spouse is gone
And I grieve inside but find
Listening to the birds sing
At sunrise brings a smile
Back to my face and I
Begin to heal from my
Loss & even though
She is gone she
Is in my best
Memories,
I still do
Listen
To the
Birds sing
At sunrise as
The sky and
My spirits
Brighten,
But it
Takes time.
