I am a Jew
Because my
Mother was the
Daughter of a Jewish
Physician though my Baptist
Father raised us kids as Presbyterians since it
Had both guilt and
Jesus so as a kid
I wondered how
Christians who
Worshiped a
Jew as their
Savior and
His apostles
Who were also
Jews and their early
Followers who were Jewish
And who would laugh at the
Profane presumption of any Jew
Who claimed to be divine and
I wondered how the gentiles
Who had taken over the
Christian Faith in the
Council of Nicea
In 325 making
The faith in a
Divine
Message
Into a religion
Where the radical
Rabbi Jesus is turned
Into a divine son of God,
About the last thing
Any Jew would
Believe as a
Better way
Than the
Divine
Message
Of love thy
Neighbor and
To forgive so
As to turn
The other
Cheek.
But, I
Was an
Insufferable
Little child so ...
