Where
I am showering
When it occurs to
Me I do not know what
Is on the other side of the
Shower curtain as I do not
Know where I am though I have
Lived in this house for decades but
The feeling is not alarming as I can
Calmly consider standing in the
Hot water and steam the many
Varied possibilities of what
The configuration of the
Bathroom may be as I
Have showered in too
Many bathrooms to
Guess and the tiny
Window is too wet
With steam to see
Where I am so I
Muse this is a
Good way to
Write a play
If the actor
On stage
In the
Fake
Water silver
Blown strands
Revealed a handsome
Body not mine to entice an
Audience willing to suspend
Disbelief for an hour wondering
Through their own memories
Of showers taken in mystery
Bathrooms when we pause
A moment to reflect on
Where we are in life
And what we do
A pleasant sort
Of reverie in
A shower
Of hot
Water some
Where as we try
Not to slip on the soap.
