The end
Is just a new
Beginning for
The next chapter
In our life and ending
Is not a sorrow until after
The end of a relationship
Which is never sudden
As parting takes time
And even if it takes
More time than is
Considered to be
Appropriate to
Others we get
To take our
Time and
Part as
We
Feel
Best but
Hoping not
To upset our
Friends and our
Families so if we
Move like glaciers
Drip by drip we move
Along apologetic for the
Mess we leave behind us
Enjoying each day but
Still aware things will
Not last forever but
Happy to have the
Company of the
Other until the
End arrives
And we go
Our own
Way at
Our
Own pace
Each happy
To have spent
The time together
We rejoice we can still
See the end yet smile and
Laugh so rejoice for us
Two old friends a help
To each other caring
Each day together
And if one gives
More care than
The other it is
Our choice
To be of
Use to
One
Who is
Unaware
More each
Day but no
Less dear
To us as
Shadows
Lengthen until
We say goodbye
And a new chapter
In life begins for each.
