Museum

I am always
In sanctuary hid in
A museum art science
History or whatever but most
Especially in art history I’m
Where I can wander here
And there sitting quietly
Musing perusing the
Paintings sculpture
People rushing by
Or at a snail’s
Pace sitting
In the cafe
Museum
Rules
Slow
Hot
Tea and
A small cookie
Reading some book
Resting up for my next
Ramble about the museum
Always with a son or some
Family or friends or if I am
Lucky a companion for
The present but much
Better with whom to
Share a lifetime of
Museum walks
Museum talks
Museum tea
Sheltered
With my
Thee,
Old English
Allowed in a museum
Where a past world is real.
Think you not of malaise
Join me in pleasant
Reverie of past
Lives loves
Where
Hope
Sits
By
A cup
Of cooling
Tea and crumbs
Smiling and happy
Resting in intermission.
