I knew as I passed through
My teens the real history
Of a radical Jewish
Rabbi who tried
To tax the rich
Powerful
Pharisees
Who avoided
Taxes collecting
Taxes from the poor,
Jesus was a threat to
Both Roman rule and the
Wealth of the rich leading
To his death and a spiritual
Rebirth of faith in the poor
And oppressed against
The rich corrupted by
Their wealth in an on
Going struggle to
Right wrongs
Do good for
All people
On earth
Rich or
Poor.
Do
Not laugh
At mythology,
Justice like a mill
Wheel grinds exceeding
Slow but exceeding fine even
For the rich and powerful
Who cannot imagine
A justice they could
Not buy or a lie
They could
Not tell
Who
Believe
Their own
Mythology that
Wealth makes right.
