Objectivity

I am trained
To be objective
Knowing there are
Always two sides to a
Question of which we must
Chose the lesser of two evils
Yet aware each side has a
Point both of view and of
Merit though one is a
Better choice so our
Job is to admit two
Sides of nearly
Equal value
Virtue and
Merit yet
Chose
One.
In doing
So it is both
Necessary and
Wise not to disparage
The road not taken but
To see both paths as
Nearly equal in our
View but choose
One based on
Ethics virtue
Character
Or suffer
The
Consequences
Knowing I told you
So is poor compensation
Hoping Lincoln’s call
For the better
Angels of
Our
Nature
May yet
Sway our
Baser instincts.
