A few minutes which turns
Into first half an hour then
Over an hour so I must ask
Myself if women shopping
Is not the true basis of
Western civilization
Not Ancient Greek
Literature or laws
From Rome nor
Architecture
Nor any
Renaissance
Italian or Flemish
But just women shopping
And the invisible empire
Of suppliers funneling
Treats and goodies
FooFaraws and
GeeGaws all
To turn a
Female
Fancy of
The moment
Even hundreds
And thousands
Even ten thousands
Of moments as time
Seems to melt away as
Women stroll along asking
Themselves the eternal
Question do I want
This badly or not
Enough and if
Not now
When?
