Sisters
I am seven
My two older
Sisters call the
Shots by right of
Size and their unity
Versus my younger by
Two years sister and I or
My two youngest sibs brother
And sister who try to avoid taking
Sides but as we grow up Susan
Stays up north when we move
To Texas leaving a new sort
Of dynamic among us sibs
Giving us experience in
Group conflict and in
Conflict resolution
Which has been
Beneficial to us
In our lives as
Each knows
How to
Fight
But
Keep
Caring
A must in
Any family
Because issues
Unresolved are the
Grains of sand that bring
The machine to a grinding halt.
Sisters make the best consensus
Decisions whereas men too
Often reiterate political or
Economic mantras of the
Past unable to see the
Present through their
Narrow perspective
Of past arguments
Long dead except
In some guy’s
Fervid past
Life of old
Dreams
Long gone,
Guys in complete
Consensus with themselves.
