Horse

As kids we
Were told to
Shut gates we
Opened and not
To shut a barn door
After the horse has left
A lesson we seem to be a
Bit late in learning about the
Boutique pandemic current fad
Having allowed the virus to spread
Shutting the barn door now is too
Little too late sort of like trying
To shovel fleas across a barn
Yard since so many fleas
Jump off the shovel or
In this case folks who
Are unaware they
Carry infection
Have already
Left the barn
So any shut
Down is
Too
Little
Too late
So stop the
Horsing around,
This will be a horse
Of a different color
But hopefully not
A rider on a
Pale horse.
