Frigid

My poor fridge
Is no longer frigid
Not distant but just
Not the frosty bitch too
Often both doors wide open
Arms but with an annoying ping
Sound each minute ignored by my
POSSLQ (person of opposite sex
Sharing living quarters) who left
Both doors open every time she
Passed through the kitchen
Whereas my parents told
Sibs to never leave the
Fridge door open
Causing us to
Make a map
Mental of
Fridge
Contents
Then strike
Open the door
Extract the object
And get that door shut!
Now my old fridge friend is
Gone no longer my frigid buddy
Arms crossed freezer icy cold
Just a broken appliance in
The patio as delivery folks
Cannot enter a house to
Install or remove non-
Frigid fridges or any
Appliance so my
Frigid friend is
Peering into
The den a
Shadow
Of her
Old
Self no
Longer the
Pride of Amana
Only a memory of
Our halcyon salad days.
Still, the new fridge
Seems to be well
On the way to
Frosty calm
While my
POSSLQ
Is already
Annoyed by
The faint ping
From the new fridge.
And, refrigerator is
A dish best
Served
Cold.
