To forgive
Is the heart
Of Christianity
All else flows from
Our ability to forgive
Others and ourself but
What is the nature of it?
What is forgiveness if not
Admitting our imperfections
In ourself and others which is
Contrary to the Enlightenment
Idea of perfectibility by education
And environment in which I believe
Should be a goal worthy but not
Achievable so we are left with
Forgiveness to overlook the
Flaws we encounter in life
Giving ourselves and to
Others a bit of slack
In the rules a way
To flexible faith
More suitable
To reality
Than
Sins
Of omission
Or commission
Unforgiven in eternity.
Forgive yourself
To forgive
Others.
