Cruise

I want to
Go on a cruise
New or old route
Doesn’t matter since
Planning a cruise is half
The fun though the thrill of
The voyage is the pay off as
Fun as you allow it to be with a
Cup of tea and a good book in the
Lido when not on a shore excursion
Or crows nest bar drink and trivia
Though the real blood sport of
Cruising for a few dark snarky
Souls is to complain about
Any minor item one might
Say such individuals are
Whined an’ dined grace
Being the watchword
Of every crewman in
Service to the ship
Not to passenger
Foibles knowing
Elegance afloat
Or on land is
Simplicity.
I admire
Crew
Who
Deserve
So much
More than
A tip having
Guarded not
Just our luggage
But often our lives
Though we passengers
Are seldom aware of their
Selfless service out of sight
On every cruise and I miss them.
So, time to plan yet another cruise.
