Like old photos
Memories fade out
After decades pass we
Only faintly recall what was
Once clear and only the wave
Tops of memory remain not the
Troughs but collectively memories
Linger on a story of the past not
Of interest to the young mostly
Though some still wonder why
This or that happened why we
Are the way we are and all
The faces from the past
Glimpsed again in new
Faces innocent of the
Past but busy with
Their own secrets
Thinking only
They know
But past
Deeds
Unravel
Over time
And science
Makes the world
A forensic laboratory
Where all is revealed in
Time even faded memories.
