Iris

I stop to
Look at the
Blue Iris bed
Green leaves
Frame them
They nod in
The breeze
Lovely so
Late in
Fall in
Texas
Though
Bluebonnets
Are the state flower
An Iris blue in
Green has
Appeal
Perhaps
It’s being Irish.
