Eagle

I am 74
Relocating
From SOCAL
To East Texas
By Houston to a
Sanctuary finding
A condo on lake time
In the pine woods north
West of the Woodlands
Under the tall pines an
Ancient magnolia to
The west southern
Trees around me
I am content to
Take root and
Thrive with
My old
Friend for
Close company.
I notice a large bird
Circling above surprised
It is an eagle hunting
Lake and shore as
I watch above the
Beauty of a local
Raptor’s flight
Glad to have
Found porch
Time waiting
For it all to
Come
Past air
Or ground
The eagles
A nice touch.
