Cream

I am six
About to
Pour some
Milk onto a
Bowl of cereal
Shredded wheat
When my mother
Warns me not to
Pour from an
Unopened
Bottle of
Milk.
I sit and
Wait for the
Cream to rise
In the milk bottle
Which mom pours
Off for coffee or tea
Leaving the milk for
Cereal or with any
Cookies and milk
But to this day
I enjoy cream
With hot tea
Tho short
Bread
Cookies
Still appeal.
