Run Away

I have decided
To run away,
The pressures
Are too great
And I see
No way out
But to run.
I tell my
Mother so
She will
Regret what
I have been
Driven to do.
She tells me
To go ahead
And run away,
Just do not
Cross any streets.
I pack a bandanna
With an apple
And a PBJ sandwich
Tied and slung
Over my shoulder
And hit the sidewalk.
I trudge up the hill
Then turn left and
One more left and
Down a hill and
Left again only to
Wind up at my
Own house.
I sit in my
Tire swing
Munching
My grub,
And muse
On the
Ying and yang
Of life as
A four
Year
Old.
