Hard to Do

So hard to do,
Keep faith in a
Man far away when
So many friends and
Family labor you with
Doubts about his
Abilities, actions and
His character,
No one wishes to have
Said well of someone they
Fear may hurt you by just
Dropping dead, giving up
Or becoming exhausted
By old age and problems.
I will never lose faith or give up,
I am polite, persuasive, persistent
And wicked unrelenting in
My determination to keep our
Love and join you in San Diego
By late May or early June.
If your friends and family decide
I am too much of a drag and a
Burden then you will have tell them
Straight out to shove off because
We cannot give up on each other.
But, it must be hard on you to
Keep up your faith in a
Man so far away,
Trying to get
To you.
