Savoring Light

We hold each other
In a loose embrace,
Both watching winter
Light stream into the
Room through the open
Curtains onto our bed.
The light is soft as cotton
And we touch it in midair
As we exchange glances
Wondering at the delicate
Grey of early morning.
I kiss her face and she
Snuggles close to me,
We are both happy to
Find love and passion
In our lives again
And marvel
At our
Luck.
I move
Toward the
Light switch but she
Holds onto me tighter
Laying on her back beside me,
We linger in the grey light
Of morning.
