If you lay down
With dogs
You get up
With fleas,
And ticks.
Is this true
Or a rumor
Spread by
The deep
Feline state
Cat fake
News media.
My friend
Loves animals.
She sleeps
With her dog
And her cat,
And recently
Had to have
A doctor dig
A tick out
Of the back
Of her neck.
It has not
Phased her,
The dog is
Back in bed
As is the cat.
She cannot
Change so
I will neither
Flee nor be
Ticked off,
I will learn
To sleep with
Dogs and cats
In order to
Share a bed
With one so
Pure of heart
She loves all
Animals,
Even me.
