Something about November
Like exhaling for too long
Chills my soul thinking
About corn stalks
In a field and
The last
Bright
Colorful leaves
Of October gone with
The winds turned cold icy
With the first breath of winter
To come and so I am so
Thankful for our feast
Of baked turkey
And ham with
All the fixin’s
Family
Gathered
To share and
Rejoice to be warm
And together for
Our passage
Through
The
Winter months
Till Spring once more
Brings life back from the
Earth and friends and
Family start again
To adventure
Grow renew
Thrive on
The new
Warmth
Like
The
Flowers
That wave
A happy greeting
To all who pass
Unafraid of
The end
Of Fall
To come
Next November,
Inhale facing
Winter.
