A Light

I am 64 in a hospital
Bed having escaped
Death four times in a
Week, my sister Penny
Asks me on the phone
If I saw a light when I
Was dead for near seven
Minutes from a massive
Cardiac arrest in the ICU.
I reply that I did see a circle
Of light with a round face
With two eyes a nose and
Mouth saying, “That-that-
That’s all, folks!”
She laughs and says it
Was not that funny and
I say yes it was.
Hearing my sister
Laugh
Makes me feel better.
