Poolside

I sit in the shade
Poolside as a cool
Breeze wafts across
The grass through the
Trees in Spyglass park
Watching Carol
Play with our dog Rosy,
Sunny but cool in the shade.
A long way in my wheelchair
But worth the time spent.
Friendly folks here in
Encinitas which
Reminds me
A bit of
Austin
But
Much cooler.
After awhile I will
Start my roll home,
Good exercise for one
Not yet equipped to walk
But eager to try new
Adventures with
Carol and
Rosy.
I
May
Ask Carol
For a push up
Hill on the way home
If only to see her laugh,
She is exhausted by her play
With the our dog who
Has worn
Her out
Too
Much,
She knows
No boundaries
In her engagement
With life and she
Is brave far
Beyond
Her
Grasp for a
Heavenly
Reach.
