Time to go and stay
The same as memory,
An island paradise
That is England.
Better to live
As our old
Memory
Remembers
England than
Live in a more
Economically richer
Society that is no longer
England or English like unto
America where we have embraced
Diversity and a pluralistic society
With the cultural advantages
Of a more diverse palate
Of faces foods fetishes
All mixed up as one
E Pluribus Unum
Or E Plutonium
Unum as my
Spell check
Tells me.
I think
Both
Ways have
Validity but to
Choose as Brexit
Has is astonishing
In that the people of
England have chosen
To remain as they are
Rather than to be as
We are in America.
Again, either way
Is valid but to
See Brexit
Chosen
Despite the
Economic and
Social consequences
Means a slower pace of
Life but the comfort
Of a comfy spot to
Read well lit with
A cup of hot tea
With milk and
Perhaps a
Biscuit
Or two to
Share with
An old
Stick
Like
Me.
