She smiles and
I am mesmerized
Not just by her beauty
But by her sense of play
So surprisingly enthusiastic
Quite unlike anything I ever had
Encountered in my prior life.
I am too used to my sibs
Who taught me irony
And skepticism but
Not the happiness
Of acceptance
Which we all
Seek in life
But rarely
Ever find
So deliciously
Awesome it
Is burned
Into my
Memory,
Her playful
Smile her eyes
Looking into mine
A jolt of adrenaline
Shakes me to my
Core and still
Does as I

Her.
