Hubris

The ancient Greeks
Warned of hubris and
Urged moderation plus
Know yourself which seems
To me the hardest thing to do
Since we see what we want to see
And hear what we want to hear so
Knowing ourself is difficult like as
The media Left’s failure to see
That uninvited guests are not
Welcome especially if they
Intend to stay while like-
Wise the media Right
Fails to see keeping
Kids in cages and
Harsh language
To women who
Are already
Defensive
Ain’t too
Smart
If the
Goal
Is to fix
What has
Broken and
Encourage amity
Rather than
Enmity
And avoid hubris.
