Commission meetings for
Which I have supplied the future
Traffic flow patterns for proposed
Projects across Texas always
Sitting in the back hoping
No Commissioner or
Visiting delegation
Member will stop
Stand up look
Around the
Room and
Ask, “Uh,
Where the hell
Do these numbers
Come from?” I crouch
Down in my chair each time
It looks like this about to
Happen but it never
Does so I live to
Forecast yet
Again but
Always
Aware
The
Future
Is not ours
To see, only
To nudge one
Way or the other
Using common sense
And the district’s perspective
Over computer forecasts
Regression analysis
And estimates too
Often swags but
Proud to work
