What has happened
To the U in humor in America,
I told a friend recently that southern
California really is the land of the
Lotus-eaters, even on pizzas!
They smiled I think as do I
And that is how you put
The missing U back in
Humor though how
To get it back into
Color may be a
Bit more tricky
As it is most
Practicable
To refrain
Though
Maybe
In San Francisco
Practicable might
Have some nostalgia
Value on those hills
Above the Bay
Clanging
Away.
