Wink
British society
And hence American
Society has labored over
A century to escape from
Victorian prudery about our
Bodies to the point of absurdity
That it was necessary to cover up
Table legs and couch or chair feet
With a ruffled skirt that you have
Heretofore thought simply to try
And collect dust bunnies
That proper Victorians
Would tell you like
Babies come
From under
Cabbages
So many
Of my
Poems
Aim at a
Look at what
No good Victorian
Would ever consider
Proper like trees shaking
Their leaves in the breeze
As reaching out to touch
Beauty between lovers
Appreciating the soft
Lines of symmetry
We trace with a
Fingertip ever
So gently in
Part to feel
The thrill
Of our
Tactile
Senses
Cascade
In emotion
And the relief
That follows in
Which we share
A little time together
Just for us two as
The curtains
Sway & the
Candle
Flickers shadows
Across our wall of memories.
I suspect the smile on
Landscape painter
Georgia O’Keefe’s
Expression as
She poses by
Her artwork
Shares a
Secret
Wink.
