Retire

We are more busy
After we retire than
We were before so why
Do we think after we retire
We will have time to do all the
Things we put off until we retire?
I think back at my old schedule
Aghast at getting up each day
At 4:50 am then going to my
Evening job at 5 pm to 8 pm
Or 11 pm then my weekend
Job plus three kids and a
Wife who worked even
Harder than I feeling
A little tired just to
Think of all that
Hustle all those
Years but such
Great fun we
All had
Making the
Best of our time
Much as I do now
Living life to the full
Day by day trying
To hurt no one
And help as
Many as
I can
But
Now in
Company
With my friends
Who know what to
Expect when
We retire.
