Dog is at the vet’s
Looking mournfully
By the door out hoping
There will be some other
Outcome but sadly aware
She is going to see the vet
But the visit is just to see
If her new medication is
Working and I muse on
Our old alliance with
Dogs over so many
Millennia allies so very
Close it is amazing
And I remember
The dog in the
White House
Who licked
Pence’s
Hand
But
Shied
Away from
Trump as a dog
Knows a person’s
Character with a
Sniff whereas
People rely
On a fake
Glamour
Photo.
Vets
I suppose
Are a good
Judge of folks’
Character unlike
Most humans who
Regurgitate the lies
Repeated to them
Unable to see the
Character of a
Person as
Easily as
A dog.
