Heat wave but down here
The cats are in shock Ellie
Climbs onto the warm top of
TV receiver in front of a warm
Electric heater to watch TV warm
But after a few yawns bored and
Sleepy at another long whining
Self-justification speech she
Slinks back to the cushion
I rest my feet on until the
Heater is turned toward
Big Mama cat on the
Couch and Ellie ever
So quietly edges
Next to her and
Snuggles down
For another of
Many cat
Naps
Until the
Bright sun
Raises warms
The garden into
The 60sF for the
Comfort of both cats.
