Salsa is about the only way
To get a whiff of texmex.
Tamales here are masa
But no meat you can
Taste just weird to
Find arugula in a
Tamale but no
Accounting
For taste
And Tex
Mex is
Only
A trip
Away to
A place where
Salsa is bigger news
Than politics and
Texmex is the
Environment.
In London in
1973 I found

Cafe and
A waiter

Whom I
Asked if the
Cafe had real
Texmex food but
He looked around for
The boss then leaned a
Bit forward and slowly shook
His head NO so I walked out into
Another place with no texmex
Biding my time until I could
Get back to Texas able
To stroll into a real
Texmex cafe to
Enchiladas con
Pollo mole and
The chips are
Warm with
Bubbles
And hot
Salsa.
