Concern
We hear of
Passengers on
Cruise ships unable
To fly home and spread
The virus but my chief concern
Is for the crews who sail back to
Sea to face the virus alone as
Each crew member has only
Their partner or friends to
Help them day-to-day as
The virus spreads and
Some sicken and a
Few die at sea far
From family only
A ship’s doctor
And a nurse
Or two for
Medical
Help
While
Mostly
The sick
Are nursed
By their crew
Mates as best
They can sailing
Far out to sea waiting
For the virus to run its course
Busy as always with ship repairs
And maintenance to fill the days
And nights up to the brim so no
Time for worries only time is
Money so my concern is
For the crews at sea or
Just off some foreign
Shore and my dear
Friends onboard
Brave as ever
When ship’s
Inter-com
Squawks
Bright
Angel
Afar
My
Heart
Skips a
Beat in the
Night as I wake
In my bed on land
Concerned for crew
Far out on a starry sea.
