We all must
Reinvent ourselves
From time to time in life,
Or else paint ourselves into
A corner dead end forced to wait
Until the paint dries or we find a
Window to exit through even if
We must scramble over the
Window sill and brave the
Drop down to the ground
Ready for our next try to
Endeavor to find some
New version of life
Aware of just how
Precarious our
Current life is
But always
Counting
Our
Blessings
Taking nothing
For granted but the
Love of our siblings and
Old friends who know us
Better than anyone else
On whom we can rely
For a refuge and for
Wise advice from
Their objective
Position and
Distance
A calm
Beacon
As we reinvent
Again who we are
Where we are going
When what and why.
Reinvent yourself
Or wait till the
Paint dries
Like color
From an
Autumn leaf.
