Summer
East Texas,
I had forgotten
How pleasant it is
To walk in the warm
Rain on a summer day
In no hurry to get some
Place just strolling over
To the clubhouse for
An iced tea and to
Unwrap my book
From a plastic
Bag and read
A bit on the
Sheltered
Porch as
I listen
To the
Rain.
